Additionally, you get better quality. Waterless printing can create far more photographic detail than some conventional printing. With up to 50 percent less dot gain (printed dots soaking into and spreading on the paper), waterless presses create more clarity and depth, especially in the shadow and mid-tone areas of a picture.

 

Air:

Waterless printing reduces the amount of VOCs (volatile organic compounds) that are released into the atmosphere, thus causing less danger to the ozone layer

Water:

Conventional litho presses use an enormous amount of water and so puts stress on the earth’s limited supply of water safe for human consumption. Choosing waterless printing avoids this. Harmful chemicals that can pollute water are also no longer used.

Trees:

With waterless printing, there is almost no ‘make ready’ involved. This is because the waterless press comes to the right colour quickly. The result is far less waste of paper.
